New

Nothing New This Week

Improved

Separate Default Setting for Marketing Text Messages
We added a separate configurable default setting for marketing text messages. You can now turn it on or off by default, which controls whether customers are automatically added to marketing texts. Countries with restrictions, such as Canada, may want to set this to Off by default.

Select All and No Bin Location Options on the Inventory Value Report Filter
We added a Select All toggle to the Bin Location filter on the Inventory Value Report, making it faster to select or deselect every Bin Location at once instead of clicking through them individually. We also added a No Bin Location option to the list, and selecting or deselecting a parent Bin Location now correctly selects or deselects all of its nested sub-locations as well.

Fixed

Shopify Orders Deduct Inventory Twice
We fixed an issue where placing an order through Shopify reduced inventory correctly in Shopify, then our integration applied an additional "inventory correction" shortly after, deducting the same quantity a second time. We now send stock to Shopify as Available instead of On Hand, so Shopify orders no longer lower Available inventory more than once.

Website Cart Window Stays Visible After Removing All Items
We've fixed an issue where the website Shopping Cart window remained visible in the upper right and showed an incorrect item count after removing all items from the cart, especially when the cart had previously been collapsed.

Editing Inventory After Adding Blocks Save on the Product Page
We resolved an issue on the new Add / Edit Product page where adding inventory and then editing existing inventory before saving could make Save Product refuse to save, with a misleading Inventory Changed in Another Tab warning. The page now correctly tracks its own inventory additions, so the warning only appears when inventory was actually changed and saved somewhere else.

Sales Details Report Resets Custom Columns When You Adjust Filters
We corrected an issue where changing any filter at the top of the Sales Details Report would reset your chosen columns back to the defaults. Your selected columns and their order now stay in place when you change filters, including when a custom view is applied. Changing the Group By view still switches to the default columns for the new grouping, and applying a custom view shows the columns saved with that view. The Reset Filters button is also now disabled when everything is already at its defaults.

"Unable to Calculate Tax" Error Blocks Web Orders
We fixed an issue where some customers were blocked from placing web orders with the message "We Are Unable to Calculate Tax at This Time" because the server's tax total didn't match the website's. The server now calculates customer discounts, tax exemptions, and coupons the same way the website does. We also fixed several cases where website checkout itself calculated tax incorrectly, such as a customer discount being lost when a coupon didn't apply, or tax being charged on the full price of a discounted item.

Register Shows "Operation Timed Out" After a Successful Debit Payment
We've fixed an issue where the Register could falsely show "Operation Timed Out" after a routed debit swipe on a P5 terminal had already been successfully charged. Register payment polling now recognizes a new "payment already captured" status, which prevents the false timeout message.

Customer Purchase Orders Page Is Blank
We resolved an issue where the Customer Purchase Orders page displayed as blank for some stores even though customers had CPOs on file.

Refunded Work Orders Reapply the Original Payment at Pick Up
We corrected an issue where a refunded Work Order that was picked up again still applied the refunded payment as a previous payment. Refunded payments are no longer applied, so the Register now asks for the full amount, and partial refunds reduce the previous payment by only the refunded amount. Previous payments now come from all of the Work Order's Pick Up transactions, so after a refund and a top-up payment you'll see both. Deposits are counted along with Pick Up payments, and cash payments with change use the amount actually applied.

Customers Are Overcharged When a Discount Is Applied Mid-Swipe
We fixed two issues that could cause a card to be charged more than the actual sale total. Debit payments weren't being capped against the sale amount like credit payments were, and a reward coupon could be applied while a card was still being read, lowering the sale total below the amount already being authorized on the card. Both scenarios are now blocked before an overcharge can occur.

Account Statements Show an Inflated Subtotal on Invoices With Multiple Payments
We've fixed an issue where printing a customer account statement showed an inflated subtotal on invoices that had received multiple payments.

Email Bounce Handling Doesn't Suppress Invalid Addresses
We resolved an issue where permanently invalid addresses and spam complaints weren't being suppressed quickly enough, since an old successful send could cancel out recent bounces. These addresses are now suppressed immediately, while temporary issues still require repeated failures. Failures caused by our own sending setup no longer count against the recipient.

That's all for this week. Thank you for being part of the Like Sew family. Take care, we love you!!
